On this day 15 years ago the first Guitar Craft course began in the Claymont Mansion, Charles Town, West Virginia.

On this day, today, 4 interviews a Q&A press conference this early evening at Pony Canyon's offices nearby. The RF Fan Club of Japan would like to translate this diary into Japanese on their website. "I didn't know you had a website". Soon, they said. "Alright, providing you put the name of the translator". We'll establish links between the English & Japanese versions.

Also, a rapacious & intrusive photo session this morning.

The photographer came with a feeding agenda. This session had nothing to do with the artiste: it was all about the photographer. He entered and intruded upon my personal space (not everyone within a personal space is intrusive). How do I know that I was being intruded upon? Because I felt and sensed that I was being intruded upon, and knew that the guy was on the take. He came to have a good suck. Knowing this is not an intellectual experience. Neither is sensing a performance dying on you, aware that the energy is leaving. You know that someone is puncturing the energy field of the event: a bootlegger is at work, or other surreptitious and hidden activities are underway, or that somewhere on the premises an act of violence is being committed. None of this is experienced in the basement. It is, after all, basement activity undermining the quality of living on the floor above.

Neil Warnock of The Agency called just after breakfast. He is in Japan to visit the Deep Purple shows. We discussed KC touring in Europe & are looking at possibilities of touring the UK during the first week of July.

From the window of this room I can see Starbucks. There are a growing number of sites in Tokyo, apparently.
